It has been a few years since I have hit publish on a blog post, at least on this blog. 2017 is the year to change that. There are over 100 unfinished, unpublished posts, sitting in my drafts, waiting for my attention to be edited, curated, even finished, before I am able to hit publish on them.
I have been moving these drafts, along with this site to the various hosts I have tried over the years. Most recently moving the blog to a product I helped build, only to add to the drafts with more drafts. This year I need to make the change.
My 2016 ended the same as it began, reflecting on the year and making plans for the next. I have debated what and what to publish about so many times that I feel as though I have lost my voice. In many ways, I have.
This post is the start to a new season. A new season where I will begin to hit publish on these posts. A season where I go back and reflect on these posts, update them to reflect the change in opinion or technology. A season where I demand more of myself to hit publish more often. A season to regain my voice.
In an effort to stay true to these declarations, I need to make it known, that my intentions are not to write about everything here, or to write about what I used to in the past. It is my intentions to begin writing about my experiences, to share my experiences in modern software development processes, product management, and product marketing in a way that will hopefully help those that have been following me in the social media universe.
My 2017 goals for this site are the following:
- Publish here at least 3 times a week
- Write for at least 30 minutes a day
- Release a product on this site at least 1 per quarter
I have found that many of my experiences are incredibly useful to the WordPress community and something I intend to provide more on a regular basis.
